Yoshimura Enters Scooter Market

Yoshimura R&D of America, the Chino, Calif.-based manufacturer of aftermarket motorcycle and ATV exhaust systems, is expanding into the scooter market.

Yoshimura's first scoot product: The Ruckus TRC (MSRP $329.95) a stainless steel full system for the 2003-2008 Honda Ruckus. It's a pipe, Yosh says, reduces weight by 2.5 pounds over the OEM system while improving performance. The silencer features a stainless steel cone end-cap and full stainless construction, a 5/8" stainless mandrel bent header tube with a laser cut flange and laser-cut mounting hardware.

"We are excited about the scooter market," says Yoshimura VP Brant Russell. "There is a lot of scooter racing firing up all over the country and the overall high performance pit-bike aspect of the category is very exciting."

Russell says the pipe should ready for shipping by the middle of the month, and says to watch for more entries into the scooter market in the coming months.
