Here’s the technical breakdown of the new-for-2009 Streetfighter and Streetfighter S:  Engine: 1099cc liquid-cooled, four-valve per cylinder L-TwinBore X Stroke: 104x64.7mm Compression Ratio: 12.4:1 Power: 155hp @ 9500rpm (10,700rpm rev limiter) Torque: 85 lb.-ft. @ 9500rpm Exhaust: Stainless steel 2-1-2 system w/ piggy-back canisters, catalytic converter and dual lambda probes Clutch: Dry multi-plate with hydraulic control Frame: Tubular steel trellis frame Wheelbase: 58.1 inches Rake: 25.6-degrees Front Suspension: 43mm Showa fully adjustable upside-down fork Rear Suspension: Aluminum single-sided swingarm w/ fully adjustable Showa monoshock Front Wheel: 10-spoke, 3.50 x 17 Rear Wheel: 10-spoke, 6.00 x 17 Front Brake: Dual 330mm semi-floating discs w/ radially mounted Brembo Monobloc 4-piston calipers Rear Brake: 245mm disc w/ 2-piston caliper Weight: 368 lbs. (6.6 lbs. lighter than the 1098) The Streetfighter S differs from the base Streetfighter by coming with a 43mm Öhlins upside-down fork and Öhlins adjustable rear monoshock with top-out spring, plus 5-spoke forged 3.50 x 17 front and 6.00 x 17 rear Marchesini wheels.  Ducati says it designed the components of the Streetfighter to tuck in tight and not interrupt the silhouette of the bike. The componentry was designed specifically for this bike while maintaining a clear family resemblance to the 1098. The frame, while derived from the 1098, carries a completely new subframe and a rake of 25.6 degrees compared to the 1098’s 24.5 degrees. The swingarm, while also derived from the 1098, is 35mm longer than that of the sportbike. The newly designed cooling system reduces the width of the bike. The headlamp and taillight are LED equipped. The new fully digital dashboard features a speedometer, rpm, clock, trip fuel, water temperature, lap time, maintenance reminder, air temperature, over rev indicator and is ready for data acquisition.  The base Streetfighter will come in red or white, with a black frame and graphite wheels. The Streetfighter S will come in red or black with a bronze frame and bronze wheels.
