Dealers who lost a handful of vehicles to thieves in New York have ponied up a $2,500 reward for information leading to the culprits. Over the Halloween weekend, thieves hit five different businesses, cutting fences and chains to take three ATVs, three motorcycles and a trailer.
Police around the region are investigating the theft of snowmobiles, tractors, four-wheelers and other vehicles from dealerships in Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties, according to the Dealers that got hit were of Sportline Honda, Wilson's Yamaha and Pilot Knob Marina, all in Queensbury; Progressive Motorsports of Kingsbury; and Go Slo Enterprises of Fort Ann. Witnesses told police they saw a truck with a wood-sided trailer that may have been involved near one of the businesses. A 2008 Can-Am ATV, 2002 Suzuki ATV and 2003 Arctic Cat ATV were taken, along with 2009 and 2008 Honda and 2005 Suzuki dirt bikes. A 2003 Floe aluminum trailer was also taken. The reward is offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction for those responsible for the thefts. Anyone with information is asked to call 743-2500, 747-4623 or 798-4205.
