North Carolina-based Öhlins USA offers two upcoming in-house training sessions that qualify dealers to sell, service and do basic setup of the company’s off-road shocks and suspension components. What's more, each technician graduates with suspension in hand.
The cost of training is a single flat fee of $1,800, plus travel and housing. Each student graduates the two-day program with certification as well as a complete set of Öhlins suspension components (in effect at a discounted price, the company says). Participants can choose any Öhlins TTX Shock, FGK MX Fork Cartridge Kit, plus shock and fork springs.
The two sessions available are June 15-16 and June 22-23. Availability is limited, and only two technicians per dealer can be accommodated. Pre-registration and pre-purchase of the suspension components is required. Dealers can contact Öhlins USA at 828-692-4525.
Öhlins USA’s David Behrend, a former factory racing technician, will do the training. “We’re expanding our products into the off-road market and need to prepare dealers to service riders around the country,” Behrend said in a press release. “Our wins in the GNCC championship have quickly shown the value of our components, so we’re trying to stay ahead of demand. Our training program includes full disassembly and servicing of the pressurized cartridge kits and the TTX 44 shocks, and the basic setup procedures. Plus, we are always here as a resource for our dealers.”
