Up to 20,000 Honda Goldwing enthusiasts will converge on Knoxville, Tenn., next July for 33rd annual Wing Ding.
Knox County Mayor Mike Ragsdale says the 2011 convention is expected to bring at least 18,000 bikers and $25 million to the local economy.
"It helps your schools, fire departments, your roads, funding throughout the community," Ragsdale said. "It's one of the best kinds of economic development we could have. This is a conference that would be welcomed by anyone in America, and I'm delighted they picked us as their site."
The Wing Ding is the Gold Wing Road Riders Association's annual convention. This year, it is being held in Des Moines, Iowa.
