YUMA, Ariz. – Yuma has been chosen as the site of the 2013 HOG rally, local organizers have announced.
Williams in Northern Arizona has hosted the rally for the last three years, but attendance had been falling off so organizers decided to shake things up.
“I think people wanted some change. Our intention was to bring the riders something new,” Jon Pitts, Yuma Harley Owner's Group activities officer, told the Yuma Sun.
“We did a lot of research and talked to the local businesses who are really ready to jump on board. Obviously Yuma has a lot of things to offer.”
The rally is set for October 2013 in Yuma. Event organizers hope to draw at least 1,200 motorcyclists from Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico.
