MILWAUKEE, Wis. - 50 Below has upgraded its mobile website platform for dealerships, making it easier for customers to shop with smartphones.

Mobile sites allow access to dealer websites from smartphones without requiring users to download a special application.

According to 50 Below, the upgrade “enhances the mobile shopping experience end to end with new layout and streamlined navigation options,” including easy-to-use icons for contact, phone, map and directions, hours of operation and social media sites.

The upgrade also gives consumers access to in-store sales and factory promotions, as well as to all the dealership’s new and used inventory, parts, garments and accessories.

"We are committed to providing our customers with the most effective online presence in the industry, giving them an advantage in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Turning mobile visitors into lifelong customers is a very important part of that solution,” said Jon Lintvet, chief marketing officer and VP of product for ARI Network Services, which acquired 50 Below last year.

“A comScore study shows that four out of five consumers use smartphones to shop,” Lintvet added. “Having a strong mobile presence is no longer optional — it’s mandatory. Providing mobile users with a better shopping experience will help turn more visitors into buyers.”

One dealer reportedly appreciative of the upgrade is Johnny Johnston of Snyder Powersports in Hanoverton, Ohio. “Our website generates a lot of orders already. The enhanced mobile version will make it even easier for smartphone users to shop and place orders,” he stated in the 50 Below press release. “It’s a great addition to what we’re focused on every day — making more sales.”
