BREA, Calif. – 6D Helmets is reaching out to the European market with the signing of Stefan Everts as an ambassador for the brand.
Everts is a 10-time World Motocross Champion and current Motocross Race Director for the Factory KTM team in Europe.
The announcement is something of a family affair: in addition to signing Stefan, 6D has also signed his son, Liam, who most recently finished third in the KTM Junior SX Challenge at the Monster Energy Cup. Liam will be wearing a 6D ATR-1Y youth helmet.
While discussing his new position as a 6D ambassador in an interview with Racer X magazine, the elder Everts said, “I strongly believe in the product that they’ve made. I think it’s the next step and the next level in the safety of helmets. I find it important to help and be behind them. I think safety is the most important thing we can push for in our sport. I also want my son Liam to have the best gear out there for his safety.”
