CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland-based Accel Powersports headed to the Tucker Rocky Brand Expo in late July to debut its new Stealth SuperCoils for 2007-14 Harley Sportsters.

The Stealth line, introduced late last year, offer quicker engine starting and improved throttle response. Ignition wiring is hidden in the head of the self-contained coil pack, which eliminates the need for spark plug wires, creating a clean look.

The Stealth SuperCoils for the Sportsters are offered in flat black with either natural or polished aluminum edges. Each SuperCoil mounts directly to the spark plug and features a cross-functional cast aluminum cover that also acts as a heat sink, pulling heat away from the cylinder heads, the company noted.

The system requires no cutting or splicing of the factory wiring harness, and with Delphi connectors, installation is plug-and-play, the company said. The coil itself boasts a faster rise time and higher voltage than the traditional system, meaning the plugs receive maximum spark energy and perform even better, the company noted.

Price: $229 MSRP with a limited lifetime warranty.

“The Twin-Cam Harley Stealth SuperCoils proved to be quite popular. In response to increased demand, we’ve expanded our product applications and the next logical step was to offer them for Sportster owners,” said Jason Ellison, business unit manager.
