COLUMBUS, Ohio - The forecast for the 2014 Susan G Komen Race for the Cure Columbus includes the 9th Annual Thunder Tunnel.
Hundreds of motorcycles will gather May 17 in the parking lot of A.D. Farrow Co. Harley-Davidson in downtown Columbus to be police-escorted to the dealer's sponsorship location on the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure course. There, the riders will form the Thunder Tunnel as hundreds of motorcycles line the street and cheer on race participants with revving engines, blowing horns and high fives.
Nationwide, along with A.D. Farrow, will provide coffee and doughnuts for Thunder TUnner participants.
Sales of the yearly Thunder Tunnel T-shirt are expected to generate significant contributions for the cause, the dealership said. The new sponsorship shirt is already available by pre-sale on the A.D. Farrow Co. website, and will be available for pick up on May 2. A limited supply will be available for in-store purchase.
Several dealer associates will participate in the race.
A.D. Farrow Co. said it has donated about $25,000 to The Susan G Komen Columbus affiliate.
