CERRITOS, Calif. - AFX has added the FX-21 offroad helmet and the FX-41DS dual sport helmet to its lineup. Two existing models, the FX-76 and FX-90, have received graphic updates that include throwback metal flake options.
FX-21: The new offroad FX-21 ($129.95) has a poly-alloy plastic shell, which AFX says offers lighter weight but higher strength, and the EPS liner is fused to the shell through in-molding. There are 11 ventilation points, a removable antimicrobial liner, goggle strap guides and speaker ear cavities. Sizing for this DOT and ECE-22.05-rated helmet ranges from XS-2XL. Three solid colors and nine graphic designs are available.
FX-41DS: The new dual sport FX-41DS ($159.95) features a flush-fit shield paired with a flip-down tinted sun shield on the interior. The exterior shield can be removed for use with goggles during offroad riding. Like the FX-21, the shell is a poly-alloy plastic, and sizes range from XS up to 2XL. Other features are 17 ventilation points, speaker ear cavities and seven color choices, including high-visibility options.
AFX has also added graphic lines to some existing helmets. The four new metal flake finishes for the open-face FX-76 ($109.95) have a retro look, and the black metal flake option goes all the way up to 4XL in sizing. The FX-90 full-face helmet also has metal flake options in five choices ($89.95). In addition to metal, the FX-90 also gets to face the Grim Reaper with the new Reaper graphic ($84.95), which comes in 11 different color options.
