IRVINE, Calif. - Akrapovic's Custom range of exhausts now includes Open Line applications for the Harley-Davidson V-Rod and new all-black finish for slip-on Harley-Davidson Fatboy silencers.

The Open Line systems for the V-Rod Nightrod Special and Muscle feature stainless steel downtubes and 2-into-1 linkpipe and a titanium alloy muffler out sleeve.

Other highlights: CNC-machined muffler end caps, three carbon fiber heat shields, racing-style QD stainless steel spring connections, and a removable noise reduction insert.

Overall, the system is said to reduce weight by 30 lbs. compared to the bike's standard exhaust system.

For the Softail Fatboy and Fatboy Lo, Akrapovic's Custom range slip-on silencers now come in an all-black, silicone-based powdercoat finish.

Each pipe is built from stainless steel and comes with a optional catalytic converter. The silencers are claimed to add a peak performance gain of +2hp at 5,100 rpm and 2.4 ft. lbs. of torque at 3,035 rpm.

An optional sound-level valve is adjustable by remote switch.
