ANAHEIM, Calif. - A couple of years back Saddlemen bought the All American Rider luggage brand and completely revamped the company, right down to its logo. After retooling the whole lineup, the seat company debuted the newly minted brand in January.

During March's LeMans regional showcase in Southern California, Saddlemen’s marketing man Ron Benfield said that the fact that the luggage is made at Saddlemen’s factory near Long Beach, Calif. (read: made in the U.S.) is a huge selling point. LeMans carries about 40 pieces from All American Rider’s product line.

New for 2013 are the new Overnighter and Weekender sissy bar bags and the company’s lineup of saddlebags. The sissy bar luggage comes in a multitude of sizes and various styles. For instance, the Weekender two-piece set is suited (as its name implies) for a weekend getaway, with a number of external pockets and interior storage. The modular system allows either bag to be used separately, and a back pack/ shoulder strap makes them mobile. The bags’ leather grained RuffHyde material is water-, stain- and mildew-resistant.

The company’s saddlebags are also made from RuffHyde and are designed to be used in conjunction with supports and/or brackets. The extra large Futura Slant bags come in two different configurations, detachable and fixed, and feature sturdy inner reinforcements to the bags retain their shape even when empty. Like the sissy bar bags, this luggage also comes in a variety of sizes and styles.
