Alpinestars’ Frontier Gore-Tex touring jacket and the WR-V Gore-Tex touring gloves are the company's top-of-the-line touring apparel. The jacket ($699.95 retail) uses layers and vents to regulate temperature. Two large chest panels fold into a specific pocket for ventilation. A large rear panel opens as an exhaust port. A removable/wearable Gore-Tex SoftShell liner is waterproof and breathable. Also removable is a quilted thermal liner and CE-certified elbow and shoulder protectors. Other features: internal chest protection compartments with PE-padded inserts, chest inserts upgradable to Alpinestars Bionic chest guards, and a back protector compartment with foam padding.
The roomy, full-textile WR-V glove ($129.95) has a soft velour insulated lining that hugs fingers and a waterproof/breathable Gore-Tex membrane to keep hands warm and dry. Keeping the glove on is triple closure using a Velcro adjuster, a wide Velcro adjustable wrist flap and a wide tab with a PU tab end.
