MANY AMA MEMBERS are still actively buying, a survey indicates. And well more than half are shopping online.

During a recent 12-month period, nearly 40 percent of the association’s 300,000 members spent more than $500 on motorcycle accessories, and more than 40 percent spent more than $500 on maintenance and supplies.

“Just as significant, 64 percent of our members report that they sometimes, occasionally or always make those purchases online,” stated Jim Moore, the association’s director of business development, citing only a recent survey.

Moore’s comment was part of a press release announcing that had increased its discount for AMA members to 10 percent from 6 percent.
