LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. – Vendors will get an extra three days to show off their products at the Americade motorcycle rally, which is extending the TourExpo to a full week in 2013.
TourExpo Beach, the trade show component of Americade, was initially scheduled to run June 4 to 8, but now will be open earlier, on June 1. Remaining rally events will run Tuesday through Saturday.
“My impression is that many of the Americaders that have been coming for years are arriving on that previous weekend anyway,” Lake George Mayor Robert Blais told the Post Star. “I don’t see it as being anything but positive for the people who come and for the merchants.”
Christi Dutcher, a senior manager for Americade, said she expects more than 180 vendors to stay the full eight days.
