SWEENY, Texas – Another Internet retailer has jumped into the powersports PG&A fray with the launch of Texas Tumbleweed Depot LLC.
Some of the categories on the site at launch included face masks, head gear, leather gloves, leather jackets, men’s vests, belts, novelty helmets, rain suits, saddlebags, sissy bar bags, tank covers, and vest extenders. The company also offers some children's apparel and said it plans to add inventory as the company grows.
Site owner Gayla Oaks says she’s capitalizing not only on the rider market, but fashion trends.
"Motorcycle apparel is becoming more and more popular, especially within the non-riding communities,” she said. “From leather motorcycle jackets to riding boots, we're seeing quite a bit of motorcycle-inspired trends in this season's fashion forecast."
All items purchased can be shipped anywhere within the United States via Fedex/UPS/Postal Service and the website accepts all major credit cards.
Oaks said she plans to launch a blog on the site to discuss new products, motorcycle safety and various riding topics.
