The model features a claimed 90-plus horsepower as well as new drive and handling technologies.
“The Wildcat 1000 X reflects our strategy to enter new growth segments,” said Claude Jordan, chairman and chief executive officer of Arctic Cat. “With its 90-plus horsepower, industry-leading 18 inches of rear travel suspension and 13 inches of ground clearance, the Wildcat X offers even greater acceleration and maneuverability to those seeking the best balance of power, suspension and handling in an off-road vehicle.”
Powering the Wildcat 1000 X is a liquid-cooled SOHC 951cc V-twin combined with electronic fuel injection. The model also features a new drive and driven clutch, created in partnership with Team Industries. The model uses Arctic Cat’s new sway bar for stability, in conjunction with new, heavy-duty Fox Podium shocks and Maxxis Bighorn tires.
The Wildcat 1000 X’s automatic transmission has a park-in-gear shifter with reverse, neutral, and high and low gears. Riders use a dashboard switch to shift from two-wheel to four-wheel drive. An infinitely adjustable tilt steering wheel complements variable-assist electronic power steering.
The Wildcat 1000 X’s full-perimeter exoskeleton chassis offers comfort and leg room. The interior has a locking glove box and cup holders, color-matched bucket seats with three-point seat belts, tube-frame doors with integrated nets, and front and rear sport bumpers.
The model will be available in Team Arctic Green and Vibrant Red Metallic colors.
