In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Arctic Cat is recalling the 2010 Sno Pro 500. Consumers should stop using the units unless otherwise instructed, the government says. About 1,300 units are affected.
According to the CPSC, fuel can leak from the fuel pump at the fuel tank mounting screws, posing a fire hazard.
Arctic Cat has received two reports of such leaks. No injuries have been reported.
This recall involves all 2010 Sno Pro 500s. The units, made in here in the U.S., have been sold by dealers nationwide since October 2009 for between $7,800 and $8,200.
The government is instructing owners to contact an Arctic Cat dealer for a free repair, and Arctic Cat is sending notices to consumers.
