THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. – Arctic Cat has unveiled two new 2014 snowmobiles: the racing-inspired ZR 6000 RR and the M 6000 Sno Pro 153.

The performance ZR 600 RR (MSRP: $12,349) sled has Team Arctic badging and racing components that make it an aggressive trail vehicle. The engine is Arctic Cat’s 6000 C-TEC2, a two-stroke with an electronic oil pump for more accurate fuel/oil ratios according to both RPM and altitude. The ProCross chassis has a triangulated upper-spar assembly for more strength and less weight, and it is combined with an inner- and outer-formed shell for additional weight savings.

The ZR 6000 RR has FastTrack slide-action rear suspension which includes a free acting front arm for better traction over rough terrain. The front is built using Arctic Race Suspension with Fox Float X EVOL shocks.

Additional features of the ZR 6000 RR include Team Arctic graphics, a digital/analog gauge, push-button reverse, dual halogen headlamps, a race-height windshield and hand warmers.

The M6000 Sno Pro 153 (MSRP: $10,949) is Arctic Cat’s new performance sled for tackling mountains. Like the ZR 6000 RR, the M6000 Sno Pro 153 is powered by the 599cc 6000 C-TEC2 engine, which is coupled with a ProClimb chassis. The Arctic Race Suspension up front has Fox Float 3 shocks. In the back, Arctic’s M Rear Suspension with a tri-hub rear axle system is designed for durability and light weight.

Traction is garnered by mountain skis that have an increased keel depth for better cornering and a 2.6-inch Power Claw track designed for deep snow. Many of the additional features match those of the ZR 6000 RR, with the exception of a low height windshield, a telescopic steering post and a mountain handlebar with a grab handle.
