Parts counter employees also have the option of clicking a box to convert AccessorySmart into a consumer-friendly view that hides sensitive data. Customers can create, save, print and e-mail or export Customer Pick Lists.
Dealers can also filter products by attributes such as size, material and color. AccessorySmart features advanced search with auto-complete for fitments, brands, categories, subcategories and products. Dedicated dealership and user logins allow users to save individual notes.
The Pro version of AccessorySmart is compatible with mobile devices, giving salespeople and customers access anywhere in the dealership.
To demo the benefits of AccessorySmart at its booth this weekend, ARI is simulating a dealership parts counter equipped with both a computer terminal and a big rack of catalogs. Show attendees are pretending to look up parts, competing on time to win prizes. Says Lintvet: “We’re going to say, ‘Here are two or three different parts for this vehicle. Find them over there and then find them over here, and tell us if that wouldn’t help you save time and sell more stuff.’”
Dealers are being entered to win an autographed Travis Pastrana jersey, and those with the best time each day will receive a $100 gift card.
The sister product of AccessorySmart is AccessoryStream. It provides aftermarket PG&A e-commerce for existing or new websites and shopping carts. The product’s features mirror those of AccessorySmart. “It’s the same content, different purpose,” says Lintvet.
Dealers can customize AccessoryStream to match their site or branding. They also can allow customers to submit reviews on the products or the store itself. Pricing starts at $995 per month. “It’s not cheap,” Lintvet admits. “It’s for folks who are very serious about that part of their business.”
