Author, consultant Mark Rodgers returns to Dealernews with new column

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Dealernews welcomes retail sales consultant, award-winning speaker and best-selling author Mark Rodgers as a regular contributor, starting in September.

Rodgers' "Accselleration" column for sales and management teams will appear monthly in Dealernews and on Dealernews.com, and will be accompanied by an additional blog on Dealernews.com's new blog mini-site.

“The Accselleration column and accompanying blog will focus on pragmatic advice and thought-provoking topics, and will be designed to help powersports retailers do one thing: sell more, faster. The content will sometimes be funny, sometimes irreverent – but always insightful,” Rodgers noted.

Rodgers’ announcement is a homecoming – as he returns to Dealernews after more than a decade with a column and blog that will speak to dealers of all brands, independent retailers, and service and performance shops.

Rodgers is principal partner of Peak Dealership Performance, and has spent more than 25 years helping dealers achieve “peak” sales performance. He is the award-winning author of the best-selling McGraw-Hill book, “Accelerate the Sale: Kick-Start Your Personal Style to Close More Sales, Faster.” 

He began his career in the powersports industry in 1987 at Hannum's Harley-Davidson and Kawasaki, near Philadelphia, Pa. To kick off the new column, the September cover of Dealernews will feature Rodgers with the team at Hannum's.

Rodgers will also anchor the sales education track at the upcoming National Retail Conference produced by Dealernews at the 2014 Dealer Expo.
