HANOVER, Va. – Employees at Richmond Harley-Davidson made an unsettling discovery upon arriving at work April 16 and finding a man’s body behind the shop.
Authorities are investigating how the man died, but the area was experiencing sub-freezing temperatures overnight and the man reportedly was not dressed for the weather.
Employee Gary Busic, a former police officer, found the body as he came to work.
"Soon as I pulled up, I saw the gentleman laying in the grass," he told WWBT. "I could tell from the car his skin was kind of yellowish. Got out of the car, got about two feet from him, his eyes were open. I yelled at him a couple times. He obviously didn't move. At that point, I knew that he was deceased."
Busic called 911. Authorities are waiting on the medical examiner to determine the man’s identity and cause of death.
