FORT WORTH, Texas - Tucker Rocky/Biker’s Choice has appointed Dan Courtney as president effective Jan. 7. Courtney reportedly has more than 20 years of strategic leadership experience, most recently as president of FinishMaster Inc., the largest independent distributor of automotive paints, coatings and accessories in the U.S.

“Dan is relentlessly customer centric. He is a proven leader with an exceptional track record delivering innovation, quality and value to both retailers and suppliers. We couldn’t be happier to have him joining our team,” said J.A. Lacy, Tucker Rocky chairman.

Courtney (see image) succeeds outgoing president Steve Johnson, who announced earlier this year that he would be retiring. “I have no doubt he will continue to build on the foundation of our customer friendly culture and accelerate our supply chain and dealer support initiatives,” Johnson said.

Among his first tasks, Courtney will meet with employees, customers and vendors to gather their perspectives on Tucker Rocky and Biker’s Choice, the distributor said. During his transition into the powersports community Courtney will be assisted by Johnson who has agreed to stay on as an adviser. Courtney reportedly is an avid rider and owns two motorcycles, the company noted.
