TheAutoMoto.com Corp. reports that its Auto Moto scooters now include a limited two-year parts-and-labor warranty with roadside assistance.
This is an upgrade from a limited one-year parts-only warranty. The change also applies to 2010 model year vehicles bought by dealers after January 1, 2011.
Guy Cohen, TheAutoMoto.com Corp.’s vice president, says that “this change came as a result of our realizing that only a few minor warranty claims were made in 2010, all of which were quickly fixed with a replacement part.”
Parts covered by the plan include the engine, transmission, steering system, suspension, brakes, electrical system, gauges, fuel system, cooling system, fluids, seals and gaskets.
Extended warranties are also available for The Auto Moto through Endurance Dealer Services extending warranty coverage up to five years.
Road America administers the two years of roadside assistance. According to TheAutoMoto.com, Road America has been providing emergency roadside assistance to motorists since 1978 and offers 24/7 support 365 days a year in all 50 states.
Stephan Attar, president of TheAutoMoto.com, says, "2010 was a groundbreaking year for The Auto Moto. We established 85 new dealers, and our products are now licensed and available in 41 states. We have exciting plans scheduled throughout 2011, the first of which is the announcement of our upgraded warranty. … Best of all, the warranty upgrade comes at no extra cost to consumers — the retail price is still only $3,800.”
TheAutoMoto.com aims to have 200 dealers by the beginning of 2012.
