BREA, Calif. - Since the first GSX-R line was introduced to the world in 1985, Suzuki has manufactured 1 million of the landmark sportbikes.

It seems as if sold most of them. Ron Seidner, the owner of the Bert's Mega Mall in Brea, Calif., was recently recognized by the OEM for selling a record number of the motorcycles over a 26-year time period.

Seidner’s tally? More than 4,500 GSX-R units were sold through the Southern California retailer, a number that tops any other dealer in the world.

Suzuki’s senior national sales manager, Rod Lopusnak, delivered the honors before a large audience of dealers gathered at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas for Suzuki’s annual dealer meeting (Lopusnak is shown in the photo above with Seidner).

“When Suzuki developed the amazing 2013 GSX-R1000 1 million commemorative edition model, I was excited to dig in and see which dealer retailed the most GSX-R models in our history,” Lopusnak said. “When I actually saw that Bert’s Mega Mall retailed over 4,500 GSX-Rs since 1986, I was simply amazed. Bert’s Mega Mall owner Ron Seidner and his staff are incredible and a huge asset to our customers, Suzuki and the entire powersports industry.”
