LEWISTON, Idaho – Plan revisions to support a more ambitious project will push back the opening of Hells Canyon Harley-Davidson by about four months.

Greg and Beth Ernst, dealers principal at Lone Wolf Harley-Davidson in Spokane Valley, Wash., said they had hoped to open the Lewiston store in January, but as their plans grew, so did the timeline. They expect to open April 30, Beth Ernst told the Lewiston Tribune.

Originally the Ernsts planned to renovate a former auto dealership, but decided to tear it down and start fresh. They also bought an adjacent property.

The Ernsts bought both franchises after the former Shumate group went into bankruptcy in 2009.
