MARION, Ill. – For the fifth year, Black Diamond Harley-Davidson late this month will award $1,000 scholarships to 45 Southern Illinois students who plan to attend local community colleges.
Coordinator Shannon Woodworth told The Southern Black Diamond has given nearly a quarter of a million dollars to local students since starting the program.
One scholarship goes to a graduating high school senior from each of the 45 high schools in Southern Illinois. An awards ceremony has been set for noon April 27 at the dealership in Marion.
