SECOND-GENERATION premium jackets from BMW Motorrad and Kushitani are designed primarily for summer and early-fall sport and sport-touring, or riding in warmer climates. Both incorporate BMW’s NP shoulder and elbow protectors.

The BMW Motorsport 2 combines nylon mesh with a leather frame to help reduce weight. Leather seams are double- or triple-stitched to reinforce impact zones, while the heavy-grade nylon mesh is abrasion-resistant, allowing for airflow.

The jacket is form-fitting, with pre-curved arms and a longer back. Kevlar panels in the neck, waist and underarms stretch, and the wrists and inner collar are lined with Neoprene to boost comfort. Available in men’s sizes S-3XL. MSRP is $399.

The BMW RR 2 is also made of nylon mesh and leather but is cut for sport-touring riders with a looser fit than the Motorsport jacket. Perforated leather panels and stretch Kevlar panels under arms and in neck improve comfort, while reflective piping and heavy-grade abrasion-resistant nylon mesh improve safety. It comes in men’s sizes S-3XL. MSRP is $399.
