New from Brembo for the cafe racer and custom bike market is the .484 caliper. Machined from a chunk of aluminum billet, the .484 comes in charcoal gray hard anodized finish with Brembo's distinctive logo hand-painted on it in red.
Named after the displacement of the single piston caliper — in cubic inches, a la the V-twin market — the radial-mount .484 is interchangeable with all Brembo calipers having a 100 mm mount. Special guides machined directly into the body of the caliper assist the sliding action of the pads, forgoing the need for guide pins.
The caliper comes in a kit complete with sintered pads and necessary hardware.
You might pair the .484 with the new Groove rotor, a companion piece also designed for the cafe and custom markets. The Groove is all about style and features a hub flange machined from billet and is hard anodized black. The Groove is compatible with most all "cafe" style bikes from Triumph, Ducati and Honda to name a few.
