UNITED KINGDOM - UK insurance provider Motorcycle Direct (MCD) has updated its website with enhanced search capacity and quote retrieval features.

“New features such as quote retrieval, call me and blogs have proved very popular, and we are receiving feedback which we will build on when adding further functionality,” says Alan Griffett, head of business development, sales and marketing.

All information regarding different types of motorcycles, scooters and mopeds can be found under the bike insurance area. For those who need a quick answer, the FAQs section holds a wealth of information separated into various topics. New customer-friendly tools have also been added to the site including a ‘call me’ function in which customers can quickly and easily enter their details and request a call back from one of their UK-based insurance representatives at a time to suit them.

A ‘retrieve-a-quote” tool saves customers the time of re-entering their details when they need a quote. MCD says it will continue to work on the usability of the site and plan to improve the online renewal feature as well as the quote process.

The website has a new “My MCD” area, built to provide bikers with relevant content like bike reviews, upcoming events and more. Resident bloggers Steve, Andy and Craig will continue to tell their latest tales of the road. Max Symonds will also be writing from the race track as this year he competes in the Triumph Triple Challenge at the British Superbikes and in some Superstock series at Thundersport & NGRRC.
