Minneapolis, MN — Second Annual Builders Breakfast sells all 200 tickets and raised over $15,000 in two hours for Boggy Creek. "The auction was a kick this year, there were bidding wars on several items and then Bruce Rossmeyer agreed to match the monies raised at the auction, and the real bidding got started," said event Host, Russell Mitchell of Exile Cycles.
With sponsor support from Baker Drive Train and Spectro Oils, the Builders Breakfast grew in 2008. The live auction and the Builder meet and greet were the highlights of the morning, with Builders on hand from as far away as Germany. On hand builders included: Russell Mitchell, Arlen & Cory Ness, Kim Suter, Dave Perewitz, Russell Marlowe, Brian Klock, Taber Nash, Scott Webster, Fred Kodlin, Cyril Huze, Vinnie and Cody, Santiago Choppers, Arlin Fatland, Paul Cox, Keino, Eddie Trotta, Jesse Rooke and Jerry Covington. Primary event sponsors included Spectro Oils and Baker Drive Train with key support provided by S&S, Paisano Publications, IronWorks Magazine and J&P Cycles.
Camp Boggy Creek, a year-round camp for children ages 7 to 16 who have chronic or life threatening illnesses, is located in Eustis, Fla. The Camp allows children whose lives have been a series of medical procedures and hospital stays to enjoy a camp experience as just a kid. There is no charge to attend Camp Boggy Creek and it is solely supported by contributions and donations from individuals, corporations and foundations.
