Yamaha is giving away a free track day and one-year membership to the Northeast Sport Bike Association (NESBA) with the purchase of any new Yamaha sport bike during 2008. How's that for a neat idea?
A promotion through Dec. 31 offers each purchaser of a R1, R6, R6S, FZ1 and FZ6 a free track day certificate and one-year NESBA membership (worth $75).
A nonprofit, volunteer-run organization formed in 1996 by sport bike enthusiasts and former racers, NESBA offers 190 track day events at 23 different tracks in 17 states and is the largest single-entity sport bike track day organization in the country.
Yamaha's offering comes as part of multi-year exclusive sponsorship agreement with NESBA. It offers some benefits for existing Yamaha sport bike owners, too. This year NESBA members receive a coupon for $100 off the purchase of any new Yamaha motorcycle, ATV, SXS or generator, plus obtain 10% off the suggested retail price of any genuine Yamaha and GYTR parts and accessories, Yamalube, Yamaha oils & chemicals, and Yamaha branded 10'x 10' EZ-UP tent.
Also on the schedule: a demo program offering riders of any brand to "track ride" a 2008 Yamaha sport bike at select NESBA events.
Visit the NESBA website for a complete schedule with track names, locations and dates.
