C&W Cycle Service makes the best of the economy with service

C&W Motor Cycle Service in Henderson, Ky., started as a home shop but had to expand to a commercial building that had more space.

"This is our fourth season doing this," Mike Williams told the Evansville Courier & Press while working on a customer's 1982 Harley-Davidson Roadster. "We actually had a shop in town — just a little part-time shop — for 25 years just out at the house."

Road construction has made business a challenge lately. The owner of the '82 Roadster, Keith Nichols of Madisonville, Ky., told the newspaper he spent 30 minutes just trying to travel less than a mile. C&W’s front parking lot has been torn up to widen the road. "We're trying to get our sign back up," Mike Williams said. "It's been down for about two years. I've got a lot of customers that'll ask me if it’s just a bunch of guys hanging around working on motorcycles. I say, 'No, we're actually a shop.'"
