BRISTOL, Va. – Cabela’s Inc. is opening another powersports store in one city and expanding a powersports service center in another.
The sporting goods retailer will open a powersports shop at the Bristol store with an 8,000 sq. ft. addition to the company’s existing retail space. The shop will feature a full line of boats, ATVs, accessories and related products, according to a company press release.
"This was clearly a case of Cabela’s listening to, and acting upon, the informed recommendations from city staff managing this project," Bristol City Manager Dewey Cashwell said.
At the same time, it will expand and relocate its Rogers, Minn., powersports service center to a 26,900 sq. ft. industrial building near its retail store, from a 23,000 sq. ft. space it leases nearby.
This building gave Sidney, Neb.-based Cabela's a chance to own rather than lease, plus expand its service department and increase outdoor storage, a real estate representative told the Twin Cities Business Journal.
Cabela's offers repair and service for boats, motors and trailers and Coleman ATVs.
