SCOTT, La. - Cajun Harley-Davidson is holding its first-ever boudin-eating contest at noon Sept. 22, celebrating the dealer’s home in the “Boudin Capital of the World.”

Contestants will be challenged to out eat the competition by consuming the most boudin in five minutes. (For the uninitiated, boudin are Cajun sausages made with meat and rice.) Don’s Specialty Meats will provide boudin for contestants.

“What better way to celebrate our Cajun heritage than by indulging in some of the best boudin that the city of Scott has to offer,” general manager Geoffery Hebert said. “We want to personally challenge all locals to attend and compete in this unique day of fun.”

The event is free and open to the public, and live music will be provided all day by Janke Train. Don’s Specialty Meats will be on site selling various food items.
