AGOURA HILLS, Calif. - The California Motorcycle Dealers Association (CMDA) has named Motor Vehicle Software Corp. (MVSC) as the preferred e-registration provider for motorcycle and powersports dealerships in the state.

MVSC’s e-registration system, DMVdesk, provides an end-to-end registration process for the motor vehicle market. The company was chosen in part for its training and customer service support programs, said John Paliwoda, executive director of the dealers association.

"It's the wave of the future, at least here in California, where the DMV is committed to doing as much as possible of its daunting business volume electronically," Paliwoda told Dealernews.

"Now that off-highway vehicles will be able to be processed electronically soon, every California motorcycle or powersports dealer should sign up to use DMVdesk," he noted.

DMVdesk claims the industry's highest rate of DMV compliance at 99.5 percent, along with the fastest plate and sticker direct fulfillment in the state. The software supports the e-filing for all on-highway vehicles. By the end of 2013, DMVdesk will offer e-registration support for all off-highway vehicles, which will enable dealers to e-file their side-by-sides and ATVs.

“We are confident that our solution will enable motorcycle and powersports dealers to significantly streamline their vehicle registration processes, translating into significant savings of time and money,” said Don Armstrong, CEO of MVSC.
