California Harley-Davidson Loses Worker In Freeway Crash

Condolences go out to friends and family of a Southern California dealership worker who was killed in an accident on Interstate 405 Wednesday while commuting to work on his 2006 Harley.

Jason R. Doerr, an employee at California Harley-Davidson/Buell in Harbor City, Calif., a Dealernews Top 100 Dealer, was splitting lanes on the freeway when he allegedly nicked a silver Toyota Matrix, causing him to fall off his bike. He was then run over by a Buick traveling in the next lane, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol and the Orange County Register. Lane splitting at slow speeds is legal in California.

Doerr previously was service parts manager at Harley-Davidson Anaheim-Fullerton before joining California H-D.
