Cadro Systems Inc.'s latest Scala rider Bluetooth communication system, the G9, enables up to eight riders to converse with each other — even if they’re up to one mile apart — via the new One+8 Intercom Toggle Mode function. G9 users also can talk to two friends at once using the systems's intercom.
Other features include wireless cell phone access, and GPS and MP3 capabilities. The G9 can provide up to 12 hours of talk time, and has a standby time of seven days. It can be fully charged and ready to go in three hours, according to the company.
The new Cardo Community web platform lets users name their G9, invite friends, plan rides, meet with other riders and customize their unit.
Tucker Rockey president Steve Johnson recently had a chance to test out the G9, while on a recent trip to Israel. "The new G9 Cardo is and outstanding system," Johnson posted to his Facebook page. "Love the voice activation of commands. You can connect to 8 other riders plus voice activation of your phone. The quality of the music even at 100 mph is outstanding The Cardo "community" web site will also separate Cardo from all the rest. No doubt this is the best system available."
