DEL MAR, Calif. - The Celebration of the Motorcycle is set to return to the Del Mar Fairgrounds Sept. 13 to 15, bringing with it the MidAmerica Auction, the Motorcycle Concours d'Elegance and Broc Glover's Breathe Easy Ride-In.
Festivities kick off Sept. 13 when the Del Mar Fairgrounds opens the paddock to the MidAmerica Auction at 4 p.m.
Saturday, attendees can join six-time AMA Motocross Champion Broc Glover as he hosts a benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Broc Glover's Breathe Easy Ride-In will start at 2 p.m. Sept. 14, with riders making the two-wheel trek to the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The bobber, chopper and custom bike show will feature custom motorcycles from as early as 1900 up to 2013.
On the final day of the event, the Del Mar Race Track Paddock will be transformed into The Concours d'Elegance, with some of the finest examples in motorcycle design and engineering spanning 1895 to 1977. The machines and their owners will compete for show and class awards.
