Channel Ideas Promotes TEAM 20 Groups

Channel Ideas, a consultancy firm for powersports dealers nationwide, is offering TEAM 20 Groups with a focus on financials and one-on-one interaction.

The acronym stands for Track, Educate, Assess, Mentor.

“We’ve known for a long time that the old way of doing group facilitation has lost its effectiveness,” Channel Ideas co-founder Steve Zarwell, stated in a news release. “We are constantly told, ‘The meetings are nice, but we can’t implement and stick with the plan that is designed at the group meeting.’”

Zarwell claims dealers want regular on-site visits followed by regular phone follow-up with the principle and managers to stay on track.

According to Channel Ideas, policy and procedural steps will be a focus, with the biggest emphasis on financials. Both composites and financial statements/balance sheets will be reviewed monthly with each dealer.

Neil Frame, president of Channel Ideas, said, “We know the value of composites, but the understanding and evaluation of the actual financial statement is the key to survival and continued growth. We will help make changes that stabilize their store and put increased profit to the bottom line.”

The program includes management calls with each dealer and a monthly group conference call.

“Our TEAM program will only be moderated by people who have worked in dealerships and understand the complete operation,” Frame said.

The program will provide training for all departments. The press release reads: “No dealership works the same way or experiences the same market variables, so we take the approach to ‘know’ the dealer and then implement logical solutions for that dealer’s departments, store and marketplace.”

Zarwell has been an industry speaker and consultant for many years. He claims to have helped hundreds of dealers across North America. Prior to becoming a consultant, he says he worked in nearly every dealership department and helped manage numerous stores.

Frame served most recently as general manager for MIC Systems & Software for 13 years. Prior to that, he says he spent 27 years in dealerships in nearly every department and also acted as a consultant. He has performed seminars across the country.
