The Chester family has added to its group of five Harley-Davidson dealershps by buying Nevada’s Reno Harley-Davidson, which also operates a retail store in a casino.
E.B. Chester and his two sons, Craig and Cliff, have named longtime associate Debbie Metcalfe as general manager of both stores. “The Chesters and their associates look forward to enhancing the long-standing family-owned atmosphere of Reno Harley-Davidson, and providing an exceptional customer experience,” the family said in an announcement.
Reno H-D (www.renohd.com) is located off U.S. Highway 395 in central Reno. It is a full-service dealership offering unit sales, PG&A, service, rentals and even riding instruction. The secondary retail store is located downtown in the Silver Legacy Hotel Casino.
The Chesters say they have turned their passion for motorcycles, especially Harleys, into a successful business. They started in 2002 with the purchase of Grand Teton H-D in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Eagle Rock H-D in Pocatello, Idaho. In 2004, they added Jackson Hole (Wyoming) H-D and Snake H-D in Twin Falls, Idaho. In 2005, they opened Chester’s H-D in Mesa, Ariz.
