A deadline to make a deal to manage Delmarva Bike Week has passed, leaving the event in the hands of its owners and, most likely, out of downtown Ocean City, Md.

Cliff Sutherland of Triple S Harley-Davidson in Morgantown, W. Va., asked resort officials to set up tents for Sunfest one week early for use at Bike Week the previous week.

But the City Council didn’t act on his request in time to meet a deadline "It's a real shame. I'm hopeful in the next few days they'll have a change of heart, but I don't see that happening,” Sutherland told the Delmarva Daily Times. I'm disappointed."

Bruce Bennett says the Bennetts are moving forward with plans to hold this year's Bike Week at the same locations as last year, which include Harley-Davidson of Seaford, Arthur W. Perdue Stadium and WinterPlace Park in Salisbury, and Seacrets in Ocean City.
