LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - Never one to pass up an invitation to enjoy good food and shoot the breeze about classic motorcycles, Dealernews in early December headed to the Troy Lee Designs boutique where the company was launching a line of Peter Fonda replica riding gear.

The Easy Rider himself was there, modeling the new gear, telling stories from his film career, and causing large crowds of people to quickly form outside TLD's storefront in tony Laguna Beach, Calif.

As the anti-establishment poster child of the 1969 classic, Fonda still represents all the great things that made the era. The 1960s may be long gone, but the red, white and blue Captain America design still makes a statement.

The Captain America helmet graphic returns to grace TLD's open-face, three-quarter lid, a special colorway edition that retails for $425. Matching Captain America gloves are available for $75 retail, plus an array of T-shirts and caps.
