PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - After a five-year hiatus, the Clutch Control custom bike event returns to Philadephia in September, according to Hard Knocks Motorcycle Entertainment and SportBikes Inc. Magazine, which made the announcement on Friday.
Clutch Control “The Illy in Philly” will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20, on Christopher Columbus Boulevard at Snyder Avenue in Philadelphia.
The 2014 event theme, “The Illy in Philly”, is a salute to the "vivacious" motorcycle community in Philadelphia and surrounding regions, organizers said. The one-day event will consist of custom bike, custom helmet and stunt competitions, stunt performances by Jason Britton’s Team No Limit, meet and greet with celebrity couple Ice T and Coco, and additional celebrity guests to be announced.
"On display will be the most exotic custom bikes and cars in the region as well as high-end performance race machines," organizers added.
Admission is free.
“I thought it was important for the entire community to participate and experience this event. The best way to welcome everyone... is to welcome everyone," said Allan Lane, CEO of HardKnocks and publisher of SportBikes Inc. "My mission is to surpass previous years’ attendance levels and to really have the vendors and event sponsors overwhelmed with business, networking and face time with event attendees. We are definitely taking it to another level since the last Clutch Control. Tons of top secret stuff going on with happy surprises for everyone at the event. It’s gonna be a blast! I’m really excited!”
