YORBA LINDA, Calif. - Cobra Engineering is putting a completely new face on the 2-into-1 slip-on muffler system for Harley-Davidson baggers with the new Center-Pro.

The Center-Pro is unique in that it joins the right and the left muffler bodies to a center port that rides beneath the rear fender. The oval tip, formed from heavy-gauge steel, features a smooth, rolled edge finish.

The U-shaped, one piece,slip-on clamps to the stock head pipes as well as to Cobra’s Powr-Port dual headpipes (and most other aftermarket headpipes), the company said. At the rear the muffler brackets bolt to the stock exhaust mounts beneath the bags just like any other slip-on system. Because of the shape and mounting system, the dual louvered silencing cores cannot be removed as they are welded in place. Left and right heat shields provide a seamless finish.

The Center-Pro “breaks new styling ground in this market,” said Tim McCool, Cobra’s president. He adds that the system also helps with performance and has an “unbelievable” sound.

The Center-Pro muffler is made in the United States and comes with a limited lifetime warranty that covers discoloration. It features laser cut mounting brackets and stainless steel clamps. The system will be available to dealerships in February.
