A burglary attempt at Ray’s Yamaha in Exeter Township, Pa., touched off a high-speed chase along Route 422 early Monday, according to the Reading Eagle.
Authorities say an employee at a nearby business reported a white van outside and someone breaking the store’s glass front door around 3 a.m. The van was pulling away as police arrived. They chased the van along Route 422 and into Montgomery County, then called off the pursuit about 10 minutes when speeds got too dangerous.
The van crashed a short time later and police found two stolen motorcycles and equipment valued at $33,000 inside. The suspects had fled.
Police aren’t sure how many people were involved in the burglary.
