Cumberland Cycle Center to Close After 29 Years

Cumberland Cycle Center in Carlisle, Penn., will close at the end of this year after 29 years.

Shop owner Jerry Stake told The Sentinel he has wanted to move on to something else for a few years and finally made the decision to close.

“I would like to work for a manufacturer or distributor,” he said, adding that he expects to stay in the motorcycle business.

The dealership opened in 1980, became a Kawasaki dealer in 1983 and added Kymco in 2001 and Suzuki in 2006. The business also sells PG&A and from the dealership’s website.

The dealer also hosted weekly Wednesday night rides for enthusiasts.
