McDONOUGH, Ga. - Cycle Nation is fighting for children in need with a back-to-school supply drive and a UCW wrestling match.

Donors can give supplies that will help support youngsters throughout the year and also lessen the burden many teachers shoulder when they spend their own money to buy supplies some families cannot afford, marketing director and event coordinator Tim Gonzalez told the Henry Herald. Donations are accepted during business hours all month.

The dealership is collecting items and monetary donations throughout July to benefit Haven House, a McDonough-based safe haven for women and children.

Cycle Nation plans to host a free Family Fun Day from 4 to 9 p.m. July 24. Festivities will include food, games and music. The featured showcase is at 7 p.m., when Universal Championship Wrestling and Aaron’s presents a live taping of UCW Showdown.

The pro wrestling promotion is expected to include former WCW Star Buff Bagwell, WWE’s Mason Ryan, Universal Champion Johnny Swinger, WWE and WCW legend The Barbarian and many more pro wrestlers.

While the event is free and open to the public, attendees are asked to bring at least one school supply item or a monetary donation for admission into the event.

The dealership also hosts 5K runs, motorcycle rides and monthly comedy nights to benefit various charities.
