NORFOLK, Va. - CycleTrader.com announced that its Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/cycletrader) has culled more than 100,000 "likes" from riders, dealers and enthusiasts.
CycleTrader.com launched its Facebook presence Aug. 8, 2009. The page has grown from 750 fans to 100,000 over that time, and CycleTrader has since launched accounts on Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+. Over the same time period, traffic has also increased tremendously on the optimized websites for mobile and tablet, and free web apps for iOs and now Android, according to CycleTrader.
"The growth in CycleTrader's social community is due in large part to the tremendous consumer interaction," said PJ Yates, CycleTrader’s marketing manager. "Without the support of tens of thousands of riders, CycleTrader would have remained a small fan page rather than a thriving digital marketplace."
CycleTrader’s Facebook page features a Find-A-Bike application tab that allows users to find a motorcycle, trailer, ATV, snowmobile, or power watercraft without leaving Facebook. In the past year, CycleTrader.com has also introduced the Facebook Inventory Tool, an application tab that can be added to dealerships’ individual Facebook pages, allowing them to display their entire CycleTrader.com inventory to their own fans.
